This is the post-jam version of  the game All lines lead to boom made for Ludum Dare 50.

Game Description

Sometimes you get so upset about the delays on the tube you decide to blow it up. Well maybe you wouldn’t.. but someone decided to do that and now you, a group of random people, called forth by the TfB (Transport for Boomtown) have to somehow save everyone at one of the busiest stations from being blown up..

It would be all nice and easy if you could just stop the criminal, or invite them in for tea, but there’s no stopping them and any attempt might be met with an explosion. Best you can do is evacuate the target station and delay the bomber until it’s empty.

But before you can call the evacuation, you first have to find out which station they want to destroy, otherwise it won’t be of much use.

Use the different abilities of your characters and your tube planning skills to cause delays and save the citizens of Boomtown

Mouse required, keyboard recommended

Controls:

ESCAPE to bring up instructions - you will need them

Mouse:

  • LMB to select character / station, 
    • when both are selected, this sets destination for character and unselects both
  • RMB on character to use character ability when suitable
  • MMB to zoom and pan camera

Planning:

  • SPACE to start planning, and pause the game 
  • The game turns planning on automatically at the start and after a player character arrives at their destination
  • The characters automatically plan the most efficient route when set a destination and  start moving to their destination when not in planning mode

Z, X, C, V, B to toggle visual elements (more details in in-game instructions)

Character plans are shown as thinner lines between tube stops

1.1 - Visual update

  • Added options to make characters and stops bigger
  • Added visual cue for bomber having reached his first goal
  • General improvement to contrast of visual elements
    • Made all navigation lines striped
    • Characters now have a white outline when not selected nor recharging
    • Increased saturation on tfb employee(purple) character for better visibility
    • Added distinguishing features for walking and tube journey legs
  • Added option for colour blind recognisable player character sprites
  • Removed most coloured text, high-scores are now not rainbow in colour blind friendly mode
  • Camera starts zoomed in on area with player characters to help find them easier
